On his 69th birthday Krapp enters into a dark room and sits quietly. After some time he eats a banana and listens to tapes on a reel-to-reel recorder. The tapes document stories from his past and Krapp is forced to examine moments of lost love, wasted ambition, and mortality. Krapp’s Last Tape highlights the best of Beckett, showcasing his signature blend of dark humor and existential musing. Performed by iconic Canadian actor Bob Nasmith (Theatre Passe Muraille, VideoCabaret) the show is a stark examination of life compared to living.
